Saw a good quote by Bono in the Times. On being asked if he were to run for President of USA who would he pick for running mate he replied ' wouldnt run for it as dont want to move to smaller house' funny and smug at the same time.
Remember him and Sting saying that the banks should pay off all third world debt i.e. anyone with a mortgage or a loan in the Western world.
Better idea why dont these people just pay it off! instead of gobbing off.
Ill start the list with some of the more mouthy t....

Bono,Sting (does tantric mean you are so perfect you can actually get up your own arse)
Cant knock the music though

From what I've heard, bono has paid a whole load towards third world debt as well as giving stupid sums of cash to other causes. The main issue is that countries like the the US and the UK give loads of cash to third world countries to help them out, but end up screwing them over when demanding the debt to be re-paid. I suppose it sometimes takes a famous person to gain public support for issues that most of us would otherwise be unaware of.

Maybe if the governments of the third world countries spent more on their own people instead of arms for civil wars etc then there wouldn't be as much of a problem.

i think a major problem with people like bono and sting is that people see muti millionaires with plenty of time on there hands trying 2 save the world. granted they are well known and in the public eye which in itself attracts attention 2 problems which they focus on.its all well and good trying 2 fight 4 causes but ithink there time would be better spent trying 2 help the needy in britain which in a way have put them where they are. whoops, not enough world publicity there, how nieve i am.

Why is it that Bono always gets his ugly mug on tv, slating America and the United kingdom demanding we cancel the third world debt?. Is it my imagination or is it always America and the United kingdom that turn up first when needed.

As far as i am aware, U2 are still a band, why does'nt mr 'I want to be a sir' Bono get on stage and make another fortune to give to the third world?.

Does he (Bono) and all the other celebs think we are a horde of people with credit cards ready to pay for some people in Africa to have some more children?
