My brother has a little experience in painting and decorating but no qualifications. Hes 19 years old and would like to gain the qualification for painting & decorating, to hold a CIS card.
Can anyone advise how he would go about it?
We heard of henry boot but they have stopped doing painting there.
Can anyone reccomend anywhere?

He already did that but when it came to him moving further forward they had no room for him and another guy he was with so he had to do something completly different and ended up leaving as he did not want to do that line of work.

only other place i can think of is Kier, but I know they have tons of applicants.

Failing that just call everyone in phone book, might be worth a try!

They do a painting and decorating Intermidiate Construction Award (ICA) at Dearne Valley College. if thats any help, it's a relly Good college im doing plastering there,although its a bit out of the way. www.dearne-coll.ac.uk
