View Full Version : Does anyone know how to get to the trafford centre... Sony 27-08-2004, 07:38 ...by rail?? Got no car!!! J_Horizontal 27-08-2004, 08:24 Get a train to Manchester Oxford Road (Central Trains from Sheffield go direct, otherwise change at Manchester Piccadilly) Stagecoach Manchester provide a regular service (250) from Manchester Oxford Road Station (Stand B) and it takes around 25 minutes  isha 27-08-2004, 08:26 If you go to The Trafford Centre (www.thetraffordcentre.com) then there's a journey planner. It's a little bit backwards but when you eventually get it figured out it should help you. When you come to put your time in it has to be a colon ( : ) , otherwise it won't work. You're main problem is going to be that at the moment the train/Metrolink doesn't go directly to the Trafford Centre. I don't know what routes the journey planner will find, but your other option is a train to Manchester Picadilly, then get the Metro ticket that's a combined fare for the Metro and the shuttle bus (I can't remember what it's called). You get off the Metro at Stretford (you need the Altrincham service to get there) and then get the bus, it's just a direct service especially for the Trafford Centre. Don't want to seem patronising but just in case you haven't used the Metro before, you have to buy your ticket before you get on, rather than on the tram like with a Supertram (spent ages looking for the ticket machine on the platform when I first moved to Sheffield :D ) Sony 27-08-2004, 08:48 cheers thanks a lot!!! |
