This year i'm hoping for a white christmas, when it actually snows on xmas day. last time i can remember i was 11 when it snowed then. It would be great for the kids but also it would be beautiful and something to remember. I think it does not feel like xmas without it snowing call me scrooge but thats what i think. tell me what you think about it and what your views are.

Well it snowed on xmas day just a year or two ago though it wasn't that much. Still a covering though which I thought was lovely. I love Christmas :)

Hi Petedo,

I'm stll sleeping Oz time.
Not sure where the scrouge comes in for you Stacy but No, I don't want it to snow, I don't like snow at all and only like to see it on postcards, so I'm the scrouge.

Don't hold your breath for snow :( My kids have only managed to get the sledge out 3 times in the last 5 years.

Snow is all very well for folk with nothing more to do than look out the window at it but if you have to go to work it is nothing but a menace hope we do not get one solitary flake but thats just my view.

its very u likely due to global warming HOWEVER im with you i dont think its xmas it does not feel like zmas without snow. i find it dull without it and kids love it.

its a dark timke of year xmas and its more fun with snow, making snowmen and trying to get down the hills without slipping.

i dont think its xmas thats brings families together i think its the snow.

so I SAY BRING ON THE SNOW MR FROST

if it would just snow on the gardens and fields and leave the train tracks, roads and paths clear then that would be grand...if not then no, I dont want any snow...it just makes getting to work even more tedious than normal!

I'm off to Florida for Christmas. Never been any where hot at that time of year before. I'm looking forward to it but I do love Christmas at home.

I remember that, it gave a sort of warmth feeling and felt like a proper xmas (if you know what I mean)

This year we are having a big family christmas and it would be perfect if we could see a bit of snow on xmas day.:)

Don't mean to be a misery, but I'm working on christmas day, and if it snow's it might mean I can't get to work, or even worse, can't get home.

So I don't mind if it snows a few days later. but christmas day snow is rubbish.

Last year it was snowing where we live, me and my little sister were sat on our living room floor at 6am opening Xmas pressies and mum opened the curtains and it was snowing

Christmas wouldn't be the same if it wasn't freezing cold.. which is why I will never go anywhere warm for Christmas

It snowed pretty big style 2 years ago on Christmas day whilst at big sis's (high up on the moors overlooking Halifax)- about 4 inches of snow in the time that it took to open presents and eat lunch.

It was indeed very Christmassy and pretty- was a git to get home from though.

I kind of want snow, and kind of don't. If there was a bit of snow, it would mean we would be stuck at my nans house, which would be a disaster, as she is the most annoying person ever!

She lives at Bradway where they always seem to get more snow, probably with it being high up.

I love snow on Christmas Day. I would hate to be in 30 degrees centigrade temperatures, it just wouldn't feel like Christmas to me at all.

Christmas 2004 was perfect Christmas weather. I remember setting off from High Green in the morning, there a light covering of snow on the hills, and it was really bright and sunny at the same time, it felt so cold and fresh outside. That to me is just right. I hope we get weather like that this year.

I think they should ban Christmas. Im not in the mood for it at all. Might have something to do with being skint?

Youll get sick of it, trust me. I went with my family to Prague in Feb and its snowed every day-a week i think.

As for a white crimbo, i do hope so, last time it properly snowed in sheffield on xmas day i think i was 6 or 7. Although im sure a few years ago, maybe 2003, it did snow slightly, but didnt settle.

Christmas is my busiest week on the DJ side.
If I'm snowed in or have problems getting to a venue due to snow that's a lot of people's christmas or new year buggered.

NO snow please.

I don`t want it to snow either! No snow christmas day or after or even before. No reason just hate the stuff especially if got to drive in it, all the idiots that don`t know how to cope causing problems all over

Before the war (BW) as a small child I remember ,on Xmas eve, looking out of my bedroom window in Shiregreen & watching the snow flakes fall. I know lots of people hate the snow but for a child it's MAGIC.
