Do any of you remember the break dancers that used to congregate on Fargate during the eighties? They used to gather, lino tucked under their arm, Ghetto blaster in hand and then 'challenge' each other. Had some great times watching them (much to the shoppers disgust of them being in the way!)

Well, that went down like a lead balloon! So not one of you remember this ? It did happen - honest, I was there! (Every week!!)

I can remember 'em gathering in the underpass that used to run from near Roxy to the then Polytechnic, probably mid-80s?

That's it! - They used to meet on Fargate, do a couple of challenges and then get moved on, down to the spare ground outside Roxy's! 1983 onwards....
