I'll tell you what I hate. When people tell you it takes more muscles to frown than smile.

What a load of rubbish. Gravity is naturally pushing you down. You have to lift your muscles against gravity to force a smile.

I too hate it when people say 'smile' just because i havent got a smile on my face... doesnt mean i'm not smiling inside and a smile does come from within...

What gets me is that if i walked round with a permanant smile on my face i guarantee i would be asked 'what you smiling at?' No wins in the smiling game!

Smiling can light up a persons face... it can tell so much about that person... its nice to see people smiling or that smile being turned into laughter!

i get this from my dad if i look down "smile tho your heart is breaking, smile even tho its aching.........." agh!

I was smiling all today as I am on leave all next week but then the phone rang. The person buying my house has just decided they cant afford it. Took them 2 weeks into the 'collation of information' to realise it.

A luvli soft warm shoulder to cry on would be greatly received at this moment in time :(

Yes, I am luck I have a house to sell but I dont really wana sell it cos I love living here but because I am normally so happy, smiley and friendly, one of my neighbours has taken a dislike to me getting on with their other half and all the other neighbours and is forcing me to move.

They will not grind me down though. I have decided to keep smiling and releasing those endorphins because as we all know, worse things happen at sea.

My face is totally relaxed. In a position of content. No major muscles being used. I'd look silly grinning at the monitor with nobody else in the room!

ie I dont because it makes me look like some scary gurn-monster. I settle for just looking bemused, which is pretty much a permanent state for me :huh: :wink:

I also cannot abide the "cheer up it'll never happen..." and the "You look like you've lost a sixpence and found an ha'penny"

Do have quite a few reasons for grinning like an idiot, but they're mainly vomit inducing so I'll keep em to mesen :wink: :heyhey:

I've had 4 hours at work and now another hour or so of writing the "never ending essay". I'd smile if i had the energy.

Actually, I like to try and smile but my face naturally assumes a sort of seriously grim expression....:(

A short time after my mother died I remember some prat telling me that 'It might never happen'. I pointed out that it had, and explained the situation. It was great to see the idiot squirm with embrassment, and did bring an evil internal grin on.....;)

Sometiems, though, just smiling at someone will life their spirits and it's well worth it. It also makes other people wonder what the devil you're happy about!!
