British Olympic Athletes

Anyone else on here get wound up about the attitude of our so called elite athletes during the Olympic Games. It is the althetics in particular that annoy me..for example.

The sprinters : Go to the Olympics carrying an injury, make it past the first round but crash out in last place in the next round and start limping as though all of a sudden the injury has flared up. They shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Paula Radcliffe : Realises she can't win a medal so drops out of the marathon for no good reason. But lo and behold she's ok now to run the 10,000 metres and is branded a hero. This women gets paid hundreds of thousands in sponsorship. The least she can do is carry on and finish the event like the majority of the other runners managed.

Some long jumper I can't remember the name of : Had 3 jumps to get through to the next round....Fouled all of them so got no where...what a joke. How much government or lottery funding has this clown had to not even be able to make one clean jump then gets told by Sally Gunnell..."hard luck, train hard and come back stronger"....erm..no...Don't bother coming back and pay back the wasted investment in you.

Denise Lewis so called Olympic Champion gets called brave for coming 10th whilst carrying an injury...if shes fecking injured let someone else who cares more about it have a go.

Tim 'no hope of winning owt' Henman. Did you see his face when he went out in the FIRST round?? Just couldn't care less and was more bothered about doing his Daz or Surf adverts.

The swimmers that get thousands of pounds in lottery funding and are trained by a so called top coach and promised so much but delivered bugger all. Oh but its ok,,they'll be better and fitter for the next Olympics we are told..but what about these ones???

All the other athletes coming in 6th, 7th and 8th and being told they did really well and are really brave...NO YOUR NOT. 1st, 2nd and 3rd is doing well..maybe even a close 4th is acceptable but these people accept finishing where they do...ITS A JOKE.

Personally I have more respect for the achievements of the athletes that compete in the Paralympics...now that is bravery and dedication!!!

The cyclists yesterday crashed during a race then got back on the bikes to finish with a Bronze from last place....THATS BRAVERY.

Its about time our so called superstar athletes concentrate more on making themselves the best instead of appearing on celebrity this and celebrity that!!!

Ahhh...and relax!!!
