I am led to believe that Oaks Park Special School in Norton , Sheffied is being closed . Does anyone have any history on this school and/or any of its students . In particular , I`m interested in the late fifties early sixties .

My son was there from `94 until 01.

it will be a shame if this school closes.my daughter did her work experience here and loved it.she has decided to go to college now to work with disabled children.

I think i know your brother is he from calow im sure he used to go the same time as us i went with a friend diane vaughan as her carer, if it is the same david say hello to him for me its many years since i saw him the last time was back in the 80's.

It has merged with east hill school and the new name is seven hills school . Both sites have now moved to the extension of All Saints catholic school on granvillle road

please note these are not "special schools" but are schools for children with special needs

STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS but I don't think we need to be do you ?

Hi, I went to Oakes Park School with my best mate David Thomas, my name is Kenneth Stones, we had some great times there, lots of memories, will be sad when the place shuts down
