Does anybody remember the Milk Race passing through Sheffield especially the Norfolk Park stage.
And would Lance Armstrong have won it?

hi! yes i vaguely remember the milkrace. it went round norfolk park itself didn't it? infact i go on about it loads to my fella because he's a cycling addict!
i even remember the colours... blue and white was it, the sponsors?
was it about 1986/88? me and a friend were playing and heard a commotion in the park and went to see what it was and the bikes were flying round! thats just about all i remember.
wether lance armstrong would win it then i dont know. he's mine and my fellas fave cyclist but i can't say we've seen him on british turf, just the tour de france mainly and it's very different out there. i'd like to think he'd easily do it but then i'm biased!!

Lance was in the Kelloggs tour of Britain in 1992 and went up Holme Moss on route to Leeds I think.
Jalabert was there to.
Cannot be sure if that came into Sheffield, I pretty sure it missed and the nearest it came was Flouch.
