I said I wouldn't have any mor outdoor pets, after my buuny died of fly strike a few months ago,and it was such a distressing thing to see, but after having rabbits and guineas for as long as I can remember I find I realy miss them,
Also we had just bought a realy deluxe rabbit run thats just sitting in the garden empty.

Anyway today I went to pets at home to buy some,cat biscuits and doggie treats and just happened to glance in the cages, they'd got loads of rabbits and guineas and although I wouldn't buy from them its realy set me going.

So do I wait now until the weather gets a bit nicer, or do I just give in.

They wouldn't be totally outside they would live in a shed, and I have one of those oil filled radiators to keep it nice and warm.

Wait til the weather gets warmer. I'd be worrying and feeling horrible about an outdoor bun in this weather. :)

Good luck forwhen you get your new bunny. I'd suggest getting one or a pair from a rescue instead of babies from a breeder. That way if you get a pair they'll be bonded already and save you some work ;) Plus you won't be adding to the problem with overbreeding.

Oh.. and whether they're girls, boys, or one of each, get them both neutered/spayed and do NOT breed from them. There are enough people on this forum breeding rabbits for profit then we can cope with already. Lol.

Dont want to tempt you but will have little buns for new homes on 21st November, once they have been vet checked and sexed. Also have an indoor cage for sale (or free loan until spring, if you want to move them outside) once they have been homed.......

get one now if you want one now it wont make any difference i have rabbits outside and there fine,just keep em warm and like you say theyll be in a shed anyways with a radiator so no worries.:thumbsup:

in my experience id get 2 females i have 2 they arent from the same litter and they havent been spayed but they get on great with each other.

Neutered male and female are the best combination but the next best is two sisters. Should still be neutered though as they are v. territorial and uterine cancer affects 80% of does over 5 years.

sooz's baby bunnies are fabulous, i've seen them so friendly, if we had the space.........................
