If anyone else watched the first programme of the new series last night. I could not believe the wreckage caused by the lorry and the car that was sandwiched in between. This definitely highlights the dangers of using phones even if they are being held in a phone case on the dashboard. My sincere condolences go to the family that was affected by what occured, near Basingstoke.
On Radio 5 yesterday they spoke to the victim's sister and it was a horrifying story of an accident that could have been avoided.
I do hope the law about using phones is reviewed and they start putting points on licenses and having a higher fine so people think before they use their phones.

I watched that, a big price to pay for seeing how they can call the office from the phone!!!
Hi Faye,
I too was completely moved by that episode, it was a horrific crash that could of been so easily avoided. I think the thing that brought it the horror of it home so much was watching the family liason office going to the house to break the news to her family, I dont think I will ever have a bad day at the office again. That job is real stress. The thing that made me really cross though was John Payne's denial of how the accident was caused, listening to him trying his best to save his own skin and then subsequently admitting his guilt, probably on solicitors advice only to get a measely 3 year sentence and a 7 year driving ban. What example to people is that? I think that people that use their phones whilst driving should face an instant 6 points and hefty fine. Its proven now that it causes as many accidents and fatalities as drink driving. My heart also goes out to Trinity Taylors family and without sounding to vindictive I hope that lying sh*t gets his comeupence every day in jail.
