Did anyone else go to Waterstones today to meet Pete?

We went and he was fantastic. We chatted and got loads of photos. He chatted to my son and said "Hey you have Tourette's too .... wicked!" It made his year! He hero worships Pete so it was amazing for him to meet him. We also chatted to his girfriend Cherry for quite a while and she was really lovely too. They make a brilliant couple.

What can I say about Perfect Pete?

He is as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside.

pete is one of the most annoying idiots ever to darken television. why people think that pulling stupid monkey faces is some kind of talent is beyond me. even his own mates said he hams up his tourette's when he's on telly. he has absolutely nothing to say. just because he has tourette's people seem to think he's some kind of superstar. he's just a gurning idiot who nobody would give a toss about if it wasn't for his tourette's. £10 and a pat on the back to the first person who shoots him.

a little harsh I think.

He's the kinda person that I'm sure I'd get on with. Yes he pulls silly faces, but he has his priorities right.

Can I say how sad I am to hear about your misery.
Given time and with everyone's prayers you might be able to make some kind of recovery. :hihi:

Perfect Pete?...my arse, the guy is a moron, a z-list celeb who will be on `IACGMOOH` in 5yrs time. What was he signing? "Spot the Dog"?. If you were chatting to his girlfriend for `quite a while` they wernt exactly busting through the doors to see him were they? Come on love, sort your head out and respect a real celebrity like George Best.

I think that's a bit harsh MC.

I personally can't stand the idiot, but the OPs child suffers with Tourettes, so I think she can easily justify going along to this event.

Pete is not mentally ill. he has a neurological condition.

To be honest I don't care what you lot think to him, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

What I will say is that he was a lovely man, polite and friendly with everyone and he took the time to talk about stuff with my son. Regardless of what you may all think, he has made a big difference to my sons life. He has given him the confidence to be himself and not worry about what ill informed idiots may think about people with Tourette Syndrome. I would much rather him have someone like Pete as a role model than some foul mouthed rapper, jumped up footballer or other similar idiot.

It was a pleasure to meet him.

He was used by Big Brother, the only reason he was on there is beacuse they thought his Tourettes would be amusing, they had no intention whatsoever to give their "viewers" (who are hadly an intelectual lot anyway) an insight into the neurological condition he has. He could have done a lot to help with the public perception of his condition but instead he completely sold out and acted for the camera.

sounds like this green eyed monster is a wee bit jealous of Petes' relentless positivity, personality and carisma. .

I'm with you, fairy. The guy's hilarious. I don't know what his album will be like, put I'd pay good money to see him do a half-hour stand-up spot. Reminds me of Lee Evans, actually. (Ready to kick Lee Evans, everyone? Ready.....Go!)

You cant really criticise the guy until you meet him. He was annoying on Tv, but since then, he might have calmed down a bit and been more like himself (anyone who goes on BB and says they are being themselves is LYING)
Its good to see he takes the time out to meet his 'fans'
not many people do that, i have respect for him becasue of that.

If he's shot tomorrow you may have painted yourselves into a corner. You'd better both hope that Nicky's not quite the psyco she seems.

I can't believe all the negative posts on here. I'm not a big fan of Big Brother, each to their own in my opinion. If the guy has managed to put some positive input into this little lads life then that can't be a bad thing can it?

quite true and i'm happy for the kid. it's all this 'he's as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside' stuff that makes me heave. spending 10 minutes with someone at an event where he is th there to promote himself isn't gonna give you a true insight to someones charecter. i'm now upping the stakes to £30 quid.
