A good few years ago when I lived down south I was into model rockets, and flew them with friends.

I've recently started up my old hobby again, primarily to share it with my 9 year old son.

Flying one rocket on its own is fun, but it's much more fun when a group with several rockets get together.

Does anyone on this forum fly model rockets, and would they be interested in flying rockets together sometime?

Sounds like something the Forum's own Phan would do?

Phan - you must have done this at some stage in your life?

Sounds a bit expensive but good fun to me - money up in smoke and all that.

Yes it's quite expensive - £5 for three one-use engines, but if you get a group of people flying together you can share the fun, excitement - and cost!

heh, no never.

I was always keen on the idea of flying estes solid propellant rockets, especially the monster multi stage variety, but I have never got it together.

I would love to do some experiments in telemetry with rockets, that would be fun.
