Hiya,
There's a cheque cashing place on the little street that is immediately opposite Argos...is it King Street?
Anyway, the little street runs down to Haymarket and has market stalls on it. They advertise a pre-pay Mastercard - not Visa, but same principle.

Im not sure you get an interest rate on the credit stored on the card as such, on the prepaid mastercards ( I assume the visa's work the same way ), you pay an initial set up fee to obtain the card, and usually the first monthly charge, which is about £15 total, you then have to "top up" the card, and any funds you credit the card with are then available to spend or be withdrawn. Its also worth noting that there is usually a monthly charge, which will be deducted from available credit, or if no credit is available the card is stopped until that is paid, and also additional charges for cash withdrawls, foreign transactions etc which can be applied... like all things credit cardy, read the terms and conditions carefully.
The one I have experience of dealing with, is the Cashplus pre-paid mastercard.. I've had a quick google and the website is www.mycashplus.co.uk
Hope that helps.
