Did anyone here live on parkhill flats during eighties, I was a young un at the time but i loved it on there cuz everyone knew everyone(almost).
If you did and you were a kid at the time (around 1985) you might remember the game of british bulldog on the grass opposite the park and a load of us used to play hide and seek, how daft was that on parkhill it used to take us about three weeks to find one another:)

We lived there from 1973 to about 1983. Did anybody go in the scottish queen when terry coggles had it, he was a top man. I remember the night before his daughter got married he would'nt let anybody go home, if you wanted to go you had to sneak out. The only time i ever saw him pi**ed. I also have bad memories too. Like the night we was walking up ramp from pavement towards scottish queen and some wan*er shot my wife in neck with pellet gun.

1989 for about 18months, on long henry row!
very noisy, but I made my flat lovely as it was my first one when i left the family home.
I used to stagger home from a night clubbing in town and follow the milkman on the landing robbing a couple of bottles of milk on the way for my breckie.
(so sorry if I stole your milk, but I was only young and very drunk!)

I was there from around 75-86 on Norwich, overlooking the nursery and then hague.then again from 93-96 on Norwich again over the Parkway where they'd have really loud karoke! Went to park hill school during the eighties too.

There used to be a woman with mental health problems who would wander round in her her nightie and she would chase us kids and scare us half to death, back then we didn't know any better but I'm sure she wasn't really trying to catch and cook us for tea!

We used to play British bulldog on the field.

Does anyone remember the race track above the garages? We used to spend hours on there.

Round by train station side we used to sledge down the 'hill of doom' into the brick wall :loopy: and free running over the giant concrete playground was common.

We used to play the chalk arrow game to, didn't know it had such an exotic name!

My family are the Connors and Mappins. My nan lived there up until they started moving people out. Fond memories :)

I lived at 100 Norwich Row in 1966 then went to 369 Hague Row until 1970. No problems then but I would not live there now rent free.

Back then I was on norwich above the nursery then moved to hague near the police box. We probably played together although I think I may be a little older than you. Did you go to park hill school too?
