Hi,

I run XP professional and have 2 accounts set up on it. When I log off and SWITCH user to the 2nd acount the internet connection terminates. Is there a way round this by altering settings to enable me to switch back and forth between the 2 accounts without having to dial up every time?

Try start, control panel, user accounts, change the way user log on or off.

Select use the welcome screen. This will turn on the other check box below. If it does what it claims to do in that second check box then your problem solved.
