Do you mind not saying the word 'Christmas' please? It's very racist.
good, those christians really have forgotten the true meaning of yule.
``What else can I be,'' returned the uncle, ``when I live in such a world of fools as this Merry Christmas! Out upon merry Christmas. What's Christmas time to you but a time for paying bills without money; a time for finding yourself a year older, but not an hour richer; a time for balancing your books and having every item in 'em through a round dozen of months presented dead against you? If I could work my will,'' said Scrooge indignantly, ``every idiot who goes about with ``Merry Christmas'' on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart. He should!''
When you see shops and pubs decorated in October, I sometimes think old Ebenezer had the right way of thinking :hihi:
I don't really care who they have on them: santa, snowman or jesus as long as they get xmas cards where they need to be.
I don't actually see how its different to people typically having santa or snowman things lit up outside their houses, to be honest i've never seen a light up jesus on a roof, but i've seen hundreds of santa's etc.

Ouch

The Royal Mail (or whatever they're called this week) alternate Christian religious with secular themed stamps annually.
That said, last years 68p religious themed stamp upset the Hindus who called for its withdrawal. Newslinky thingy. (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/11/01/nstamp01.xml&sSheet=/news/2005/11/01/ixhome.html)
I actually like the santa & snowwy scene ones.
I see this years first class stamp has a picture of Santa doing a bobbar down a Chavs Chimney anyway :hihi:
I have to say I'm already sick to the gizzards of seeing madonna & child images (http://images.ctv.ca/archives/CTVNews/img2/20061025/160_ap_madoona_061025.jpg) already & it's not even December :hihi:

I think they are too.
Why does the Sky photo link has a date stamp of Tue Nov 07 ?
 Where's the article about these stamps ?
Interesting article though about the 05 Xmas stamps. Not sure if I ever bought that set. I wonder how they would be received it the stamps were done in another time marketing it as unconventional religious arts or something like that. Rather than to promote it for Christmas stamps.
As the HSBC advert says, know your local clients, be sensitive to their culture !
