do you like flying i hate it but still go if you have to get some place its the only way

I have flown once, from Basle to Manchester and it was a lovely flight, no problems. Very wary of flying again as it is too risky, wiring bursting into flames, doors falling off, thunderstorms damaging the aircraft, Pilot error, poor maintenance, near misses, bombs on board, suicide bombers, hi-jackers, al-quaida, in any case I do not fancy being burnt alive! DO YOU. Thanks but no thanks.

I don't mind flying! I don't like being in the small space for how ever many hours, but the actuall flying doesn't bother me!

Flyings ok although i darent fly this year so had to holiday in this country. This is because of all the terrorists. I dont think ill be flying til its all sorted out or they make planes ultra safe. This countrys ok to holiday in anyway - lots of nice places.

I am not afraid of flying but we know the risk and if anything happens in flight and the plane goes down then the survival chances virtually none existent.

I love flying! I'm not too bothered about the whole being in a small space for a long time palarva, that doesnt bother me at all! What does make me wonder is how the plane manages to get into the air with so much luggage and people! :P

I've been to spain a couple of times and Florida twice. When you're flying to Florida from Manchester, its around 9 and a half hours long. Thats when plane journeys take the mick. Especially when you're flying over the Atlantic ocean for 5 hours! :o
There's not a lot for you to do and the small space you're given is ridiculous! (That's why its better to get upgraded seats!)
Another problem is the width of the seats. You just can't get comfy in them can you?!

....I love flying.....would love to take helicopter lessons but they are quite expensive

I flew for the first time a couple months ago, it was a 9 hour flight, it was okay, there was very little turbulence, and when there was it just felt like..a coach rather than a plane so, not bad.

Just don't like it when they turn, like as they fly out of the airport. That's the only part I felt uneasy.

I love flying...we have 3-4 holidays a year so that's 6-8 flights and every time the plane begins to taxi I get all excited ...when we take off it's the greatest feeling - love it.:)
Don't like the landings - but they're better than the alternative lol :hihi:

Never tried it but I've been on loads of plane journeys. I've flown a few on the PC though.

The take off is quite easy and the landing will happen at sometime anyway,so no point in worrying!

I thought landing was fine, taking off is worse, not bad but, landing wasn't a problem for me at all.

I don't worry. I just dig my nails into my OH's arm, close my eyes and try to remember if I told the boys were our wills are kept.....:D

I don't like it, but will put up with it to get places.The first time I flew, I had a total phobia about it, it wasn't that I thought about crashing, but I didn't like the whole sensation, turning, levelling out etc, I was so unnerved I cried the whole way !
Thankfully I'm ok now but can't say I feel 'relaxed' about it.:|

I'm the opposite, I find the most enjoyable bits are the take off and landings.

I don't like long haul flights, especially over-night flights. I can never sleep properly and the toilets are usually a no go area come morning :gag:

Landing is the worst.
It is about the only time in my life that I put my trust in my fellow man.
If he balls up we are all dead.
I am never happy until we are taxiing.

Jesus, you must have a nervous breakdown just at the thought of getting into a car then if flying is too risky?

I love flying, my Hubby on other hand ain't keen. Could see him looking anxious when we went away this yr.

So decided to put him through it again next yr when we go costa dorada lol

First time I flew I kept looking at the plane and thinking how on earth does something that big stay up in the air. Well, it did and I have flown again since with no bother. I must admit, I don't like the bit on take off where all the checks are done, like the foot is on the accelerater but the brakes are still on. I don't like flying in small planes though.
