Is or has anyone had problems with Orange lately?

I have a friend that got billed £280 too much and she's having problems getting her money back. She's been waiting over 3 weeks now and they keep fobbing her off. I'm worried for her health!

Any advice would be welcomed!

No probs with Orange as I'm aware, all running fine!

Think your friend needs to call back and ask to speak to a supervisor or manager, or failing that seek advice at the Orange shop in town or Meadowhall.

She's spoke to every supervisor going and they just aren't helping her. I was going to go on Orange but this has seriously put me off.

I hate Orange with passion.

I don't think your friend will get it back - they will just refund the money into her account gradually when her bill is due so she has essentially paid for several bills in advance.

Is it becasue she has had an upgrade 'cos that happened to me.

Yeah she did actually, and she's been with Orange years and never had a prob until now

Today she finally got somewhere, they told her they could ring her bank, and that the bank would put the money back in, but Orange will barr her phone for some stupid reason, thing is though, she could've contacted the bank from day one.

Did this happen to you then?

i HATE orange

I moved to them from o2 in April as they seemed to have a better deal - they offered me what I wanted, o2 didn't.

They don't let me know when my bills are due. They took my direct debit details, then told me I'd not given them so I had 2 unpaid bills... the only way I found out was when I went to log onto my online account it wouldn't let me until I phoned their call centre.. they then told me it was because I hadn't paid my bills. Then they said they hadn't got my direct debit details, then they had but I'd cancelled them, but then there had "been a problem with the bank". They offered to send me a copy of the bills I hadn't paid by snail mail.. as I couldn't view them online as my account was blocked. They said it would be free of charge.. low and behold, I get my next bill - I've been charged for the copt of the itemised bill.

Thank goodness I only signed up to a 12mth contract.. roll on April and I shal be leaving them.

By the way, my phone, a Samsung D600 is now for sale on eBay I hate it that much! Nothing wrong with it - I just don't want it so using my boyfriend's old one lol. If you want it: Click Here! Oh yeah.. they phoned me up a few weeks ago, offering me free broadband. gave me all the benefits, blah-di-blah - on one condition - I extend to an 18mth contract. When I said no thanks they asked why...

"'cos I think orange are **** and had nothing but problems"

their response: "oh ok, sorry to bother you, goodbye"

Anyone on orange had problems texting/calling other orange numbers?? My phone won't let me send texts to a friend who is on orange and when i call it says "number not in use". Except it is cos I can call her from a landline or o2 mobile. Weird. Oh and yes I've got the right number on my phone.

I previously had problems with Orange regarding the mis-sale of a handset. After about 4 weeks it was finally sorted. However, I was advised by Orange's own customer advisers to make a formal complaint to Ofcom. I was also advised to take the matter up with my local MP.

I had some trouble when they charged me for a free replacement phone. Had to send them a letter. They soon started begging for mercy and gave me my cash back.

My hubby uses Orange and has barely had a mobile phone signal for the last few days. Don't understand why because he normally gets a perfectly good signal. I use O2 and my mobile phone signal is fine.

For various business reasons I have tried 02 - Vodafone and now Orange.

Without doubt the worse for customer service and signal reception is Orange - looking back I guess the best was 02 but may I hastily say that was the best of a bad bunch in terms of customer service etc. but at least I could guarantee that the signal would be consistent.

With Orange I can almost guarantee that a couple of minutes into a call the signal drops out. I have tried the sim card in three different phones just in case it was the handset, but still the same - annoying on personal calls - bloody embarrising when on a business call.

Orange are the best mobile network by far in my opinion. I've been with the others, the customer service at Orange is far better than Vodafone, O2 etc. Always get any issues dealt with straight away, never waiting for long, always sort me out with a good upgrade, never been overcharged for anything, free to call them from abroad, 1 central number for customer services no matter what you're calling about (obviously takes you to an IVR), always have coverage.

Do you live in an abandoned bomb shelter in the countryside 100ft underground?

Orange currently have 2 transmitters out of action in Sheffield, and it's been like this for months.

Coverage is very patchy on the west side and I'm currently missing more calls than I receive. All I get is a "missed call" text seconds after the phone should have rung. The result? I have to call everyone back Now I don't think that this is deliberate on the part of Orange, but it's a nice little earner all the same. Everyone I know has exactly the same problems on this side of town.

Orange has turned into a lousy service since France Telecom bought them It stinks, and they really don't care, as was exemplified when it took a colleague 3 months to get a faulty phone replaced including one occasion when it took 2 weeks to get Customer Services to pick up the phone!

We'll be changing all our work phones back to Vodafone next year.
