Has anyone else noticed the increasing amount of hard, uncomfortable back-rests that are now being used on First buses? They seem to have little or no padding and appear to be made of hard plastic or similar.
Is this just another example of customers getting a poor deal on buses?

Can't say as I've noticed it. I know some seats are a bit more "positive" than others (if that's the right word to use) but I've found these tend to bed in once they have been used a bit.
I get more annoyed by the fact that busses seem to be designed for people with very short legs. Being 6'1" I generally have to sit with my legs doubled up and my knees nearly up my nostrils.
Ps. I mean that i'm 6'1" in height not that my legs are 6'1". That would just be stupid!
I'm not a tall person but I find the seats uncomfortable. On the older design of low floor First bus (the square ones) I find the seats are far too small and you kind of fall off the front of them.

Totally have to agree, being 6ft5 its impossible to sit two to a seat without blocking the isle. I tend to just aquire a seat of my own and the other person can stand. They don't ask the fat people to move so why should I :p
I mainly drive the new double deckers and I have to say that my heated drivers seat is lovely and soft!!
