Vote for the best!
Personally, i used to hate PCW, but they did me a good deed recently, so i am changing my opinion slightly.
But who is the best?

I use Scan (http://www.scan.co.uk/) and Overclockers (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/)
The one I usually recommend for ready made PCs is Mesh Computers (http://www.meshcomputers.com/)
Maplins is just terrible...

Good call on Mesh - they've been consistently good for nearly 20 years, regularly winning various industry awards. Evesham always used to be good as well.
I used to use Overclockers a fair bit and have always had great service from them. Not bought anything from them for a while though so not sure if they're still up to the same service.
I don't buy much hardware anymore and when I do I don't go to any particular place I have a look around.

Ditto :) Wouldn't go near PCW with a barge pole unless they have a sale on...Maplin are generally worse than useless for computer stuff.
I use eBuyer personally, not found anyone with customer service, or prices as good..
OverClockers are total t***s, Scan are ok, PC World/Dixons are terrible (Used to work for them..
Mesh are good, so is CaseTech.co.uk, and Microdirect (manchester)
Ebuyer for me  . Although their delivery times are hit and miss

Scan for me, only because it's a 15 minute drive away.

got to be microdirect in manchester (http://microdirect.com).
cheapest ive found on the net, delivery was spot on, AND unlike overclockers etc they are actually a shop not too far away so if something is wrong you actually have a base with some poor sales people you can take it out on (not like its happened to anyone i know who has used them, top class every time, but its good to know....)
maplins IS awful, its a high st wannabe RS components (http://rswww.com/cgi-bin/bv/rswww/home.do?cacheID=uknetscape&returningUser=N).
glad to see people see maplin for what it is. I worked their for a while, poorly paid with no training (and people looked puzzled and somtimes were verbally abusive when i couldnt tell them what obscure component they needed to get their circuit to work). I got fed up of telling people "were out of stock of that item", seemd to happen 20 times a day. I felt like a scam merchant when I sold stuff usually 20% above the rrp price.
I allways use ebuyer. pixmania look allright - just about to try them out now. Anybody know the cheapest place to pick up an xvid dvd player?
