View Full Version : Looking for clear glass perfectly spherical beads

I need some beads for a project I'm working on. They must be clear, preferably glass (or very high quality plastic) and perfectly spherical. The sizes should be between about 1-2 mm to 3-4 mm diameter. Drops of dew on a spider's web is the inspiration, like this (http://www.painetworks.com/photos/ii/ii2925.JPG).

Has anyone seen anything like this in an online shop or elsewhere?

Thanks :) .

I've had a look around the net and can't find any sorry, will keep looking though if you haven't found any yet? Have you tried hobbycraft?? I'm going to go up there sometime this week, I could have a look for you.

I haven't checked at Hobbycraft, actually, but I'll be up there at the weekend and I'll check then. Thanks for the offer though :) .

I'll have another check through the online shops too. I'm probably being overly fussy.

No problem :) I'll still keep a look out on the net though, just in case

I get all my beads from ebay - there are lots I didn't even know existed so it's probably a good place to start. Maybe just search for clear glass beads..?

I found these that are 4mm: (1st ones at the top of the page)

Or there's also some on this site that are 3mm & 4mm, they are the 6th one down: (only down side is that you have to buy them by the string)

I buy from both of these websites so I can assure you that they are both reliable.

Thanks for all the help and the links. I didn't manage to track any down, but my jewellery tutor had some hidden away in a box so I bought some from her.

I second the comment on PJ Minerals, jen229. I ordered some gemstone cloisonnes from them last week and was really pleased with their service.
