Has anyone else been a little perplexed by the new Sony TV ad? It's the one with all the paint fireworks going off. Everytime I see it I think it's a dulux paint ad.

I can't remember the last time an advert stuck in the memory for the product it was advertising. Most adverts I remember, I don't have a clue what the product was.

I read an article in the paper that this was a derelict block of flats where they set off all the paint bombs. It does look great but ...I still don't understand it.

I don't understand it either. Wonder if they cleaned it up or left paints everywhere.

I like that advert don't know why. Must admit I thought it was advertising paint too, it should be.

I think its something to do with the vividness of the colour you can see with Sony, similar to that great bouncing balls advert they did a while ago (think that was Sony?) that's like my favourite advert of all time :D

I've just seen it for the first time- it's beautiful, but it wouldn't make me want to buy a tv.

Its ironic really. They show you how good the new tv is by making an advert that looks good on my current tv. Ho hum.

Good point. I won't go out and buy it now as my 7 year old tv is fine. I love the ad though. But couldn't help but think everytime I see it what a fab ad, but the clean up must have been a nightmare.

Speaking of confusing ads, does anyone understand the smirnoff/schweppes/whatever one where the woman in red is breaking up like a russian doll?

That one baffles me.

The one that confused me was the one where there were a few people dancing in a supermarket to a song off Grease. I honestly thought it was going to be an advert for Somerfield or some high street supermarket. How wrong was I, its actually for a carton of milk!
