Been with NPower (formerly YEB) for four years now and their prices seem to have been creeping up.

We're charged 10.46p for the first 182 units, instead of the old standing charge, and 6.82p for the rest.

They've stopped paying the rebate for quarterly direct debit and want us to increase our monthly payment by 12% even though we're always in credit at year end.

Are there any cheaper providers out there ?

Have a look at http://www.uswitch.com/. It's a (supposedly) impartial site that can compare electricity and gas suppliers. Works best if you have the past year's bills to hand so you can feed in accurate readings.

Thanks. Looks like I can save about £55 a year by switching to Scottish Power.

I'm with Scottish Power and get good value. Seems crazy to be buying from someone called Scottish Power in Yorkshire, but who am I to argue with good value?!
