Does anyone know of anywhere in Sheffield that stocks heavy duty zippers? The longest John Lewis have is 80cm and I need one that's around 1.2m long. Do either Dunelm or Fabric warehouse stock them? From my visits to both of them I don't recall ever seeing a selection of zips (but I never pay that much attention to anything except the fabric :P).

I'm making an A3 portfolio type folder for my sketch pads but I don't think anything less than a heavy duty zip will be able to cope with the weight of them. Any suggestions about alternative ways of doing this (or whether normal zips are more hard wearing than I give them credit for) are very welcome. I was rather taken with the idea of a zip open folder but I think the zip could well cost more than all the other materials. :(

How about contacting suite reupholsterers, they may be able to help. or do a search for industrial zips on google?
