I am thinking of going to the casbah but heard mixed reports about the place what type of music is played on a saturday night. how busy does it get and what type of crowd go in

think its more indie downstairs i would go and make up your own mind about it.

Haven't been for a while but I always had a good time. The crowd is alot of 30 somethings and you get the usual idiots who can't handle their beer. Good mix of rock and indie music.

Yeah - it someotimes gets a bad press, but i've always had a good time in there. Anyone know if the classic rock night is still downstairs on a Friday ? Ive not had the chance to go for a while.

Not been to casbah since they stopped Death Sweet Disco ages ago.

Hasn't the management changed 3,081 times in the last year too?

I go twice a month and love the place i used to go years ago when it was the wopentake also.sometimes there can be trouble but its delt with instantly,ive always enjoyed it there its good cos its mixed ages and themusic upstairs id brill!

ive only been once but when i went it was fine upstairs but downstairs i thought it was something of a dive with bad music. there is very few places in sheffield i dont like but maybe its jus the night i went as ive heard a lot people like it so maybe its better on another night...i'm personally not that bothered about goin back there to find out as there are plently of other places in sheffield that are better imo

Was hoping to go into the Casbah last night (Tues) After my pub run only to find the place SHUT.:mad:
Obviously not getting enough customers in during the week.
Would have been my first time there, as i've heard good things about it from mates who have been there in the past.

casbar always gets mixed reports but if you go in early ish its a great meeting place, the foods supposed to be great to.

Does anyone know if they still do live music down there?
