Is anyone else having the following problem,
We purchased the BT home hub a couple of months ago mainly for the internet but was told we would also recieve free evening and weekend calls but when the hub arrived there was no hub phone, a couple of day's later we recieved a letter informing us that "the hub phones was out of stock and we would get one sent as soon as we can", meaning we had to use our standard phone also having to pay for our evening and weekend calls. the hub phone then arrived about 3/4 weeks later and it only works when it wants. It is p***ing me right off paying for a service that is simply not working.

These BT HomeHubs seem to be getting really, really popular... and i can't see why?!
.
Its the power of crap advertising, the ads are more sickly than the gold blend adverts of the late 80's shuddder

Yours isn't the only horror story I've heard about the BT Home Hub, and I'm so glad I'm sticking with the package I already have from BT, because at least that works.
The only advice I can give is for you complain and complain and complain to BT. From what I can gather, the BT Home Hub packages are a bit of a con. If I were to go over to the package which is priced the same as the one I have currently, my monthly download limit would be cut from 20Gig to 6Gig, and I'd get a load of stuff that I neither want nor need, including Norton. That's a point, if you have Norton installed, fgs get rid, and download something from the SF-users list (link in my siggie).

I would love to complain but the only problem is when you phone BT it is always a foreigner who try's to resolve your problem. This really irritates me as you can never roslove the problem.

Yeh i know what you mean tommy I've had the BT home hub for quite a while now it is absolutely useless. I get disconnected every 10-15 min and when i ever ring BT up i always get someone in another country saying is there any electrical items near it or my computer which of corse they isnt. Also idk if anyone experiences the same problems but if i try to get on .exe games it disconnects my internet everytime and ive checked my firewall and made sure it allows the game but it still disconnects?

aye, BT outsourced their internet retail callcentres before the yahoo takeover. it used to bug the hell out of us that worked there too. complete waste of money as no problems can ever get fixed when commuication was such a problem, having said that we sometimes had just as many problems with the jordie callcentres they had! :hihi:

My partner has one at her home and the reception on them is something shocking and when I call her on it I am talking to my echo which is quite annoying.
Lets face it, its aesthetically pleasing and thats enough for millions of yuppy idiots to shell out daft amounts for glorified wireless router/voip technology.
