Does anyone know if any Medieval properties still stand in Sheffield, private houses in particular.

What about the cottages next to Beauchief Abbey ? And I think there are a few cruck barn conversions in the area...one on Hatfield House Lane for example.

I used to live opposite hatfeild house farm. We had the beams from the old barns in our house. All the kids on the two court yards used to think it was haunted. There was a plaque on the door saying it was built in 1314 if my memory serves me correctly.

About ten years ago now one of the properties there was being renovated and I had a nosy round...fascinating place and I can imagine it being a bit spooky.
