I keep reading about health farms and how you can book in for a day's pampering. Saunas, massages, body wraps, more massages, etc
Sounds like bliss.
Does anyone know one
a) around here (or are they only a 'down south' creation)?
b) that won't charge a month's salary?
c) that is worth going to?
I know there's beauty salons on most major roads around the city but I'm thinking of a different concept. With those you'd just book in for a single treatment (and pay through the nose for it).
I wouldn't go quite as far as to say it was a health farm but Spa 1877 (http://www.spa1877.co.uk/enter_site.html) is definitely one up from just your average beauty salon. (See also here (http://www.sheffieldforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=15661&highlight=glossop) :D )

I was treated to a day at:
Elements Spa
Bonaroma House
Park Lane
Thrybergh
Rotherham
01709 855977
Its quite small, the staff were very helpful and friendly and I will definitely be going back. They do quite a few treatments although I just spent the time in the sauna and pool mainly. It was a Saturday and was quiet so we could spread out and enjoy ourselves.
Highly recommended....................enjoy, if you go.

This one is very nice. I got offered a job there but then went on to work at Champneys in Hertfordshire. Very elite place for extremely rich and famous people. All health farms are expensive. I did work at one over near Bolton in Lancs. I filled in for a friend while she went away on holiday. Can't remember the name though so try a google search and see if anything pops up in the north. Champneys also has a Spa in the Lake District near Kendall. A lot of local beauty salons do a "Day of Beauty" with facials, massage and hair etc. Check your local phone book.
Relax and enjoy

There is also one near Stafford but I cant think of the name, will have to do some googling.
Found it
