(I did do a search for this cos I thought there was a thread already but I can't find it)
Anyway - I'm quite looking forward to watching this tonight after last weeks first episode, I really hope they can learn from it but surely they'll be emotionally immature and inclined to make mistakes. So, even if they show they can juggle money, get a job and so on, it doesn't mean they could leave home and do well. Emotional maturity counts for a lot.

Having said all that, I was 16 when I left home and got a flat, I was mature for 16 but emotionally immature and it actually helped - instead of being depressed and sad, I bounced and made it into an adventure.
I got into debt, I made some silly decisions, left college etc but made it into adulthood by going back and catching up with A levels and passing at the same time by cramming it all into 1 year. I had a job and a bit of a social life - though not much.
A programme which isn't time limited and watches several youngsters go out at 16 to make a life for themselves - that would be more interesting I think.
Might just be me though since I've been there.
