To be honest mate, I don't know but I doubt it. I don't think the web page layout would be usable on a little mobile screen.

You CAN get the forum on your phone (the nokia 6600 at least) because the forum's very own Phanerothyme does.

So ner ner :P

yeah but that is the normal forum. MAybe, skala, you mean a wap version for non-smartphones (eg nokia 3410 has wap but not much else).

To be honest though, WAP is dead.

Sure .. you can get it working on a 6600 .. but it is so much nicer on a p900 :p

www.jamiewoodhouse.f9.co.uk/p900_sf.htm

Just can't help myself really .. as the proud owner of a new p900 it's my duty to gloat and invoke phone lust in 6600 owners everywhere.

Seriouly tho ... web browsing works fine on both with the opera web-browser.

Can't manage to get the SF chat room working tho.

phone lust, ha.

You have an effete toy that would not even tolerate being dropped onto solid concrete, whereas the 6600 has done so, several times.

Also has a highly resilient Lexar window to prevent scratches.

How long do you think your dual membrane, quarter mil screen surface will last Jamie? :P

Dear Phan ...

I do not drop my beloved p900 on to solid concrete !!!!

Is this some new sport that 6600 owners have developed ... perhaps out of sheer frustration re: their device's lack of merit relative to the p900 !?

You will be pleased to learn that I have screen protection and an executive leather case to keep my p900 out of harms way.

Anyway my friend ... I must get back to admiring my phone ... errr ... I mean work.

How sad are you two :P

Rich

Very sad, and very geeky aren't they?

It's a phone, you use it to ring people up and send text messages... You don't need to use it to browse the web, you have a PC at home for that.

And besides, browsing WAP on phones is expensive anyway, it's like 30p a minute on my O2 Pay as you go tariff.

Come on ... fess up DaBouncer and Rich ... green eyed monster raising it's ugly head again huh !?

:P

Actually Rich ... we're not talking browsing WAP (which is poo IMHO) but real web browsing which is over GPRS so you only pay for bytes sent and recieved and it works out quite cheap.

Some other cool things you can do with phones are:

Chat on MSN / ICQ.
Send and recieve e-mails.
Some great games for it.
Calander and PIM functionality.
Syncronize with your PC.
Torch.
Take photos.
Record movies.
Record sound (dictaphone).
Guitar tuner.
Make phone calls.
Play MP3's / OGG's.
Bluejacking.
Download and play movies (can compress and fit a full length movie on to a 128MB memory stick).

I just think it's really cool how they're getting everything in to one small handheld device.

I've only had my phone about 6 weeks and I'm still waiting for the novelty to wear off and there is defo an element of 'new toy' about it ... and you can call me 'sad geek' as much as like ... I don't care ... my phone's better than yours !!!

:o

New "toy"?! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

How old are you?! You should've stopped playing with "toys" years ago mate

And no, I'm not jealous, I'm happy with my 3510i at the moment, sure I'll probably upgrade to a fancy phone at some point but at the moment I have neither the finances nor the inclination to do so.

Right on RPG !!

The only gripe I have is that as soon as I had bought my p900 ... the boffins at sony ericcson did release the new and improved p910i (with qwerty keyboard on inside of the flip and extra internal system memory).

:o I cant believe you can play oggs on mobiles....I spent HOURS trying to play the goshdarned blasted accursed things on my PC

Still, my attitude to mobiles is a tad different....all I really wanted was a portable phone..you know, like a communications device that was MOBILE, as I am also often mobile.

However, my recent attempt to 'give it a bit of a rinse' ...has not helped its functionality.

I can still TEXT, tho I have a theory that its more often 'anti' communication.....

Still, I can see who has called me and call them back on a 'landline' (which are pretty much everywhere in places with reception anyway...) so alls well :D

Ogg files eh? If i didnt keep breaking (no, this isnt the first time...) or having my phone stolen...that'd be a GREAT idea:cool:

If anyone wants access to the web on the move, I have an iPAQ listed in the 'For Sale', which would allow access to t'internet though a Bluetooth/GPRS enabled phone (most of the latest models).

Half plug / half HTH :)

One word Blackberry hybrid device that beats all the others hands down.
Testing some newer ones in beta that allow mp3s and video streams and more toys. (purely business testing of course)

Got a Nokia 6320 as well that ok because it fits in the car kit as blackberry dont have them. :)

Jamie, Ive got the p800.

I know it can store downloaded music but dont know how to do it. Could you give me some advice.

p.s When we were away the other week I used mine to get on to the forum from a hotel in the lakes. This set me of thinking where is the most unusual place the forum has been accessed from, by phone of course.
