Hi,

Please can anyone recommend some reliable companies to try in order to replace a cracked drain under the front of my house?

I have had one quote that comes in at £780 which includes replacing the cracked drain and adding two additional drains to deal with standing water outside the front of the house.

I've no idea how much this sort of work should cost, so wanted to get some additional quotes to see if it's in the right ball park.

I'm going to try to claim it on insurance, but I'm not sure they'll honour the claim as there's no clear evidence of accidental damage.

The drain also carries water from next door. Does anyone know if I'd be entitled to claim from Yorkshire Water?
