Hi, does anyone remember the Old Abbeydale Picture Palace and the ballroom beneath it which on Friday and Saturday nights in the early 80's ran heavy rock nights. I'm trying to find people with memories of the place and also photo's of any of the lonh haired customers although by now they're probably short haired, married with 2.2 kids and a volvo on the drive!
Thanks a lot

Refusal to grow up? Just as long as you're not still acting like a teenager, if you still like the same music you did from twenty years ago good for you, to many people chop and change from one fashionable music craze to another.
I'm trying to recollect the name of the DJ who loved AC/DC I know his trainee was called Russell and no I'm not thinking of Bob Maltby who became the Rebels DJ.
So ask around and I'm still after pics
Thanks

I'd be grateful if I could still get into my old denim as middle aged spread is all too real, I can't get my afghan across my shoulders nowadays. I'd agree with you that present day teenager dress code is vile, mostly all of them wanting to look like little clones. Interesting to note though that flares seem to be in fashion once again, maybe I'll have to rummage in the depths of the wardrobe I've probably got a few pairs I could sell on to a gullible teen.
My last few tee shirts have bands like Camel, Focus, or Pallas on that few people seem to remember, the curse of 1980's American rock no doubt!
