Hi,
I was just wondering what anyone might recommend for painting the inside of a shop window (i.e. so the design is visible from the outside). It has to be easy to work with, and easy to remove. I was thinking either poster paint or tempura...?
Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

How about printing it on inkjet film?

wouldn't a vinyl graphic be easier to do?

No, a vinyl graphic would be about a hundred times more complex! I have my original design all mapped out, just wondering what materials would be best for the job?

With poster paint, it'd run if you have a problem with condensation or customers who'd likely touch and start scraping off.

How about using acryslic then? Do you reckon it's scrape off with a wall scraper? Or even emulsion? Hmm....

I thought they did special glass paint for that type of thing? Might be wrong tho :)

Yeh if you havnt done it yet - you could use these http://www.save-on-crafts.com/winartdelpai.html

There really easy, though depending on the design they might cost quite abit, however the results will be really good and they are peelable so wont leave any marks on windows!!

We've got them all over the house!! :hihi:

Hi Leah, I know this is an old post but in case you can use this info for the future, try mixing poster paint with powdered window cleaner or mild scouring powder (a good one is the US brand 'Bon Ami'). The effect is that the colours will be softly muted with white, giving a nice, slightly frosted effect and when cleaning, it all soaps up and comes off well. My father painted our mirror over the fireplace this way every year over fifty years ago and I used it too, when painting the windows facing the street. It's great for a beard on Father Christmas! I hope this helps.
