Myself and ex girlfriend have decided to split up after 4 years. We both brought a house together after renting for 3.5 years and purchased the house and funiture on a 50 50 basis.

Can anyone answer these questions

Has anyone here brought another parnter out, if so what is the process?

We have agreed on a final figure and what funiture she wants to take and therefore I need to change the mortgage in my name and deeds of the house into my name, but my Father is going to help me out by coming onto the mortgage for another 1.5 years as I am tied to nationwide for this amount of time unless I pay to get out.

So the Question is, if Me and my Dad are on the Mortgage together can my name only be on the deeds?

If anyone has gone throught this any advise would be nice, I want to keep the cost down as much as possible and we both agree we don't want to pay someone to do something if we don't need them.

Cheers

Jules

As I understand it you are correct that a different name(s) can be on the deeds and on the mortgage. However, with things like this is is probably best to go and see your mortgage lender, solicitor and insurance people.
