Just a bit of fun really, but with full face transplants looming in the near future,if you could have a famous persons face whos would you have. ?(Saying of course that the anti-rejection drugs would work) . I think I would have to choose Ava Gardners as I regard hers as the most beautiful(if she were still alive of course) :D

to have a famous persons face you only have to go to the joke shop and get a silicone mask one, as thats all that the famous peoples faces are made of nowadays :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

Mmmmm....not so much a case of who's face you would have, because lets face it.....there won't be many "faces" up for grabs.
I know you only meant this thread as a bit of fun pattricia.....and I appreciate that. But.....taking it to a further level.
Would you actually want a face transplant?
Given the bone structure of the recipient, and the muscles etc etc.....they say that the recipient wouldn't look too much like the donor anyhow.
Apparantly there are quite a few people who would entertain the prospect of a "face transplant"......but none of them want to be the first.
I knew somebody (many years ago), who had suffered severe burns. His face was very badly damaged. This was about 40 years ago, and of course medical know how has advanced a lot since then. He spent years having medical treatment. I remember him having huge lumps of flesh growing out of the side of his neck and under his chin, in order to use for skin grafts. I can remember him saying that he suffered many spells in hospital suffering extreme pain through all the grafts etc.......and he never looked any different to me anyhow......he was Brian. In the end he told them to stop.......he wasn't prepared to suffer anymore. BUT......he was Brian and he was accepted by everybody that knew him.
Having said that......I can remember him telling me that he just wanted to find somebody that would love him for who he was. I moved miles away so I never did find out if his dreams came true.
For some people it would be the right decision.......for others it wouldn't. I don't think any of us could ever contemplate the decision to have a face transplant, unless we were in the position to possibly need such extensive surgery.
For anybody that feels that it is right for them......and they have the opportunity to go ahead with it, then I wish them the very best of luck. I am just thankful that I don't have such a huge decision to make.

A sensible choice would be the face of Hughie Green, then you'd always have a spare... The two-faced so-and-so...
And I really mean that most sincerely folks!

I can think of many famous people I'd be happy to look like but probably Natalie Imbruglia would be the first one I'd tick.
