View Full Version : Why are people dressing up for winter already?
shoo gal 25-10-2006, 17:10 Why do people have scarves and gloves on already? it's hardly freezing is it. The heating in our office is on full blast already and I get moaned at for opening the window!
Some people are gonna have a shock when it actually does get cold heehee.
It has been a lot colder today, but up until now, I have been wearing more or less the same clothes as I did in the summer (with the exception of July that is).
shoo gal 25-10-2006, 17:15 Me too, although I have been wearing tights. People have winter coats on, scarves, gloves, boots etc...? They must be boiling!
I'll stop moaning now!

Don't worry!
I'm sure that there'll be the usual quota of half-naked folk teetering/tottering around, come Saturday night.
shoo gal 25-10-2006, 17:28 That's true that is! On west Street i bet. Class
Because the shops have been full of gorgeous wintery stuff for a couple of months and we've been desperate to wear it for ages...
Well you never know when a blizzard just might happen:hihi:
Becky2006 26-10-2006, 10:50 cos its cold!!!
Jules1000 26-10-2006, 11:01  Everyone here (in Greece) is also dressed up for winter - I have been wearing boots now for a couple of weeks. I feel a bit sorry for the tourists as they are all walking arount in shorts and flip flops and its way too cold for that !!!
PS. It's probabilly about 21 degrees but it's freezing here in my office (no heating, concrete walls, marble floors).

squidge00 26-10-2006, 11:13 I like to wear a big cuddly coat because it is comforting against the dull days and early dark nights
cressida 26-10-2006, 11:21 because people are bored with wearing their summer clothes:|
Jillybabes 26-10-2006, 11:27 It was colder yesterday but now its warmer again, some people feel the cold more than others, some people are cold even when its warm, we are a strange species, i have worn me winter coat but not scarves and gloves yet, im saving them till its bitterly cold.

cressida 26-10-2006, 15:06 it is'nt so bad if you have a few coats and jackets, otherwise if you go out you feel as if you are wearing the same things

In summer we set the A/C to 68F and it feels nice and cool, though we're wearing next to nothing. In winter when we're well clothed we set the heating to 68F and it's too cold. Go figure.
cressida 26-10-2006, 18:03 like the models used to say, "fur coats in summer" "corsets in winter"
