Try Parkwood Karting on 279 9666 or http://www.parkwoodkarting.com for full details - we've used them several times and always had a good time.

are there any that use the twin engine zip karts?

I'm to heavy for the single engine ones, everyone just leaves me standing at the start! ha ha ha DOH!

twin engine pro karts are out doors only, those are mobile chicines compare to my ROTAX MAX, So much fun for very little money £1200 second hand on ebay or £3800 new, Rotax max do 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and on to 80mph+

sheff has a couple of kart tracks dotted around the place but, from my experience, though they do allow you to go along in smaller numbers they are decidely average compared to the Parkwood karting place.

You're never going to get a clean, gym-like karting place but on two seperate visits to Parkwood we've had a cracking time, once in good weather and once raining and under the lights, great fun both times. I've been to many karting venues around the country and Parkwood was one of the better ones for karts (all of them were pretty much similar drive and power) and for track (not super short, but not overly long so you get a fair number of laps in). I have to say that uber big places like Daytona and a couple of London indoor circuits knock Parkwood into a cocked hat, but for Sheffield area they get my vote every time.

I appreaciate this doesn't solve your prob H, but I've always managed to get a group of 12 together to go, some very random people mind you, just by letting friends and friends of friends know that it was going to be organised.

This one is near Rotherham and about a 40 minute drive from City Centre.
It has a very slippery indoor track and it great fun. Even got a bridge that you have to climb!!!

£25 for 50 laps, if I am not mistaken.
