Saturday night....wadlsey park area...sounded like a huge gig going on, heard everything from the clash, the jam, OCS etc etc...does anyone know what was going on? Initially thought the fair had moved a rock stage in at the last minute...it went on till about 1am...

I believe this is the so called "Wadsley Feast" which takes place at the Wadsley Jack pub about this time of year .It basically involves fairground rides, live music, and loads of folk swillin' ale till the early hours

There was a scooter rally Saturday night up that end of town.

Clash and The Jam would sound about right for that, plus 2-tone stuff and northern soul

Apparently it was an organised event on Claywheels lane,
kept everyone awake till two o clock, perhaps we should be serving an ASBO on the Town Hall idiots who allowed it.

Yes there was a scooter event that night, however all the live bands finished at 11pm so as not not to disturbe local ppl.

Everyone had a good trouble free night
