Not much has changed and it's still one of my most regular and favourite places, together with Wyming Brook. Ashcroft 24-10-2006, 10:05 i like top of ringinglaw - over looking most of sheffield, nice sight and quiet place AtticusFinch 24-10-2006, 10:21 The Bole Hills is my favourite place. I lived in Crookes for two years as a student, but I didn't find out about it until a month before I left. One Saturday afternoon in June I sat there reading Lord of the Rings on the grass in the sunshine. As Aragorn was leading the march on the Black Gate, I had a great view across the valley towards Stannington and Malin Bridge. :) joeyannie 24-10-2006, 10:52 a bit of pavement under a lamp post outside the starbucks opposite the winter gardens. pertfoxylush 24-10-2006, 10:52 Botanical Gardens, Millhouses Park, Boston Castle to name a few. blip 24-10-2006, 11:21 A certain corner of a certain pub across the road from the railway station. I can spend so long up there looking at the view. It is always different as well. Agreed. I've spent many an hour doing that by day and night. Tis most calming and puts it all into perspective being able to check the city and it's trees out. bensonhedges 25-10-2006, 06:22 Gatecrasher and the Leadmill for the 000's of messed-up nights, and The National Centre for Popular Music cos it's where I met my boyfriend/husband-to-be |
