Every time i go under the bridge on Pitsmoor road I feel a little unsettled and feel that theres something there.
Of course there is'nt but maybe its history may play a part.
The bridge which i watched being built was put there around 1967/68 after many road accidents there and a friend of mine was killed there in 1967.
About 3/4 years ago someone hanged themselves off the bridge and i don't think its the first.
However the area is now demolished and that includes the bridge so maybe things won't feel as eerie.
Has anyone else felt uncomfortable under that bridge.

IF its the lad I am thinking about I know who hanged himself, his parents ran a corner shop at wisewood, he was a lovley boy but very quiet his parents were devestated,It was xmas or shortly thereafter I understand he did it from a bridge in pitsmoor it was about 5 or 6 years ago. They do say that suicide souls somtimes become trapped were they commited the act upsetting to think that being desperate to escape this mortal coil you end up trapped here anyway

This was the footbridge that crossed Pitsmoor Road from the flats to the open green space.

The suicide was during the christmas holiday as mentioned.
There has been many fatal accidents on that road during the last 35 years.
I witnessed one in 1975, a motor cyclist hiting a lamp post near the top.
