View Full Version : Chatters Night Out in town!
scoobz 22-10-2006, 12:06 AM This evening people in the chatroom have decided to put faces to names and have a night out in town! And whilst doing this, they will put to bed the theory that all chatters are boring, hide-behind-the-screen misfits!
Anyone interested in a night out in Sheff, which will include comsuming vast quantities of alcohol, and lots of txt type chat, please subscribe to this thread and let me know a pub which`ll be large enough, possibly midweek to accomodate a large number of misfits who don`t need loud music to get in the way of their inane chat!
Could I chuck the Queens Head in Pond St into the debate as its sorta central?
bbl 2 lmfao or pmsl ttfn scubz

PuressenceUK 23-10-2006, 12:53 AM Why? Who are you bringing? ;)
Ha ha - I admit 500 posts is not as good as 12,000 but I am fairly new here!
I think you'll always have that head start on me though. Doesn't answer my question though!
Strix 23-10-2006, 01:01 AM It's a public house - so unless they secure a function room, you can go ;)
I've yet to see a forum meet that excludes anybody.
Even the walking group meets get hijacked by others who's idea of walking is staggering from one pub to another.... not pointing at any forum couple in particular :hihi:
Ha3el 23-10-2006, 01:03 AM lots of us regularly meet up every other sat for a night of drunken antics. next one is this sat on west st and halloween themed

The Halloween bit and "West St Sat Night" has put me off.

unfortunately halloween happens every year, may as well make most of it - good excuse to get dressed up and make fools of selves which makes for good talking points
now that students are back town is often just as busy mid-week as weekends anyway. now i could be wrong here but are you a bit of a pesimist by any chance...? :P
PuressenceUK 23-10-2006, 01:26 AM My cup is half empty yes. Just want to avoid that area of town at weekends in case I bump into my ex.
guest121 23-10-2006, 12:18 PM maybe it is better that i stay behind the screen like jabberwocky - i am a misfit too and evil beyond belief:|
sparklygem 23-10-2006, 12:21 PM i may be up for this, depending on when it is

scoobz 23-10-2006, 11:34 PM Of course anyone can come, just thought that due to ppl`s normal week-end commitments that midweek would be best, but mainly posted this thread to gauge interest, which it has, and to get suggestions for somewhere central, preferably where there`d be plenty of room, and not too noisy! Not an age-thing this, just easier to chat if there`s no loud music blaring!
Any suggestions for a venue? And how about Weds 8th Nov?

Aaaaaah. Cheers Scubs. I need escorting, me being the shy, retiring type. I`ll look foreward to it.

itosan 06-11-2006, 10:01 PM At last, a reason for chatters (or anybody else come to that) to have a night out in town! My mate Itosan, at fairly short notice, is leaving the country for a new life in Oz this weekend.
So apologies for the short notice, but a `leaving do`, combined with a much-promised get together of chatters is planned for this Thursday (9th) at the Dog and Partridge on Trippet Lane.
No special times to be there, although Ito and me will be propping the bar up from 7.30, and intend to stay in the one place most of the night.
Everybody welcome, but leave any arguments behind please
Whos up for it then!!! :hihi: ;) :P
New thread :)
