Sheffield Wildlife Trust is running a woodlland Walk this Sunday 22nd October 11.00am-1.00pm at Wyming Brook Nature Reserve at Lodge Moor (meet at Redmires Rd Car Park for 10.30am).

The walk is with 'Ziggy' a local fungi expert, who'll be interpreting mushrooms and toadstool and other fungi and BBC Radio Sheffield's Jimmy Carol (an ex-gamekeeper) will be recording material for a BBC Radio Sheffield Woodland Walks Special programme to be broadcast at Christmas for the BBC's Breathing Places campaign. see www.bbc.co.uk/breathingplaces

Oh, I love Wyming Brook and I've met Ziggy before! :)

Unfortunately, workload means I have to ration myself to one walk a week and I'm already out on Saturday. This sounds like a good one for people who don't want to hike miles. I'd recommend it, even though I'll be slaving over a hot paint pot.

Can you believe this 96 people showed up this morning!..... and Ziggy was on top form as was our very own Jimmy Carol (2-5.30pm weekdays BBC Radio Sheffield )- a really lovely morning.

One young man caught a really small frog I've never seen one so small.
