I am new to Sheffield.

I want to have a wicked night out for NYE in Sheffield, go somewhere cool but friendly, (I probably shouldn't say this out loud by I was a young'un in the original old school days). Does the Showroom do anything at NYE and if so, what is it like - I like it a lot there. I keep thinking Plug looks great, but I haven't really been out to know.

All my friends here are lovely people with young families, and all my other mates would prefer to stay in, so any lovely types around to welcome a new person

Any thoughts, recommendations etc would be gratefully received

The Common Room & Forum will be joining forces on NYE to present FUNKASINO II.

The event will feature eight piece funk band The Grey Cooper Love Party, Christmas canapes served between 8-9.30pm, sizzling BBQ on the outside terrace, Casino (Texas Holdem, Blackjack, Chinese Craps & Roulette), Pool Competition and live DJs.

Two venues in one & food for £15 per ticket.

DQ new years eve will be v special.. But it's a secret! We're a long way from christmas trees :D
