Rabbits can get sore eyes from sitting in the cold. Also does he have any spots on his eyes (like little white circles that look like they're floating on his eye?) He could need his tear ducts flushing, or have something in his eye. Also, check his teeth (front AND back) to make sure they arent over grown, because it could be that which is causing it. In either case, I'd get him down to your vet to have him checked up. If its his teeth causing it it could really be hurting him. Rabbits are good at hiding their pain. Oh and what breed is he? Is he a lop? These problems are more common than not in lops. rocky1 19-10-2006, 21:30 Hes not got an white spots and his teeth are fine,he had this problem when he was outside too thats why we brought him in for the winter, its clear stuff coming from his eyes like tears. Not sure what breed he is but hes a star BobbyBunny 19-10-2006, 22:05 I mean.. does he have uppy or downy ears? Lol. It sounds like he needs his tear ducts flushing. I'd take him to the vets just incase. rocky1 19-10-2006, 22:08 hes got cute little uppy ears, better get him to rabbit docs asap. BobbyBunny 19-10-2006, 22:15 Ah how big is he? Make sure you take him to a rabbit savvy vet - some vets pretend they know what they're on about but they don't, unfortunately :( sooz22 19-10-2006, 22:47 Anita at hunters bar is really good with buns. It sounds like a tear duct infection/ blockage to me. I had a rabbit with this, usually needs some drop from the vets. It is possible it has come from saw dust which has too small particles if you use it, is his nose running too? rocky1 20-10-2006, 08:14 no he doesnt have a runny nose BobbyBunny 20-10-2006, 11:02 Yep I agree with Sooz22 that he probably needs his tear ducts flushing (as I said in the first place ;) ) Hope you can get him to a vet and make him better :D rocky1 20-10-2006, 11:12 thanks for the advice were going to nip him to the vets. sooz22 20-10-2006, 14:59 thanks for the advice were going to nip him to the vets.
