This is where we are; vocal people all over the world protesting against people showing the truth. Even with a political motive, these are undoctored photos and some people just dont want the truth to be shown.

Sounds like an interesting exhibition, I’ve bookmarked the University of Oslo link to smack down the next homophobe I encounter who tries the ‘against nature’ argument.

Doesn't anything that occurs within nature mean its natural? To me as homosexual relations occur between different species including human it must therefore be natural. If not you could in theory question everything that happens as to whether its natural or not.

What goes on between other species should not be used as parallels.

Humans have those extra levels of concience and choice.

Does cannibalism, rape and killing amongst animals make it acceptable amongst humans?

Not to mention fornicating in the playpark, taking a dump on the grass outside Mrs Figgins' house, and biting nextdoor's baby. And don't rabbits eat their own babies sometimes?

This isn't about whether what happens within other species is acceptable amonst humans.
Many homophobes and other people against homosexuality have argued that homosexuality 'isn't natural' and was learned behaviour, i.e. 'nurture' that could therefore be 'unlearned' and that there was no genetic need for homosexuality.
While the 'nurture' argument has been blown out of the water some time ago (siblings and indeed identical twins with the same upbringing having different sexualities, for example), this museum's study and exhibition blows the 'it's unnatural' argument out of the water too, because it shows
a) homosexuality isn't just amongst humans
b) it occurs in a small, but significant number of species, and in a significant proportion of the population of those species.
c) there is a genetic benefit amongst the extended family for the offspring being cared for
d) this has been going on for tens of thousands of years.

Homosexuality is therefore both natural and normal and is actually beneficial to the survival of those species (including humans) where it occurs, and that must really pi55 off those homophobes! :hihi:

For those who want to take a religous point of view; God makes everything on earth as he/she/it wants, and is perfect, and never makes mistakes. That means that God intends for there to be homosexuals alive and well on this planet and who is Man to overrule God.

I'm not sure I see the point of that exhibition.

It gives the proof against the argument that homosexuality 'isn't natural' and by showing as an exhibition hopes to improve tolerance, acceptance and understanding.

I doubt it will, people who are homophobic won't go to the exhibition.
Personally I don't think it matters if it's proved to be natural or not, people will still hate, like racists do, even though people being different colours is obviously natural.
