 Im here to have a moan.
I am in a really bad mood, i was in a good one but now i am in a bad one!

Me and my bf had arranged to go to my aunties wedding on the 28th of October. Bought new outfits etc for teh special day, i have just found out that my bfs work and one of his colleagues have decided that he has to work this weekend and next because 'Gordan' is doing too much work. This was all done yesterday when my bf was at college so he couldn't have a say in it. they don't care about my bf. I am so angry! How ignorant is that?
It has come to the point where we can't make plans for our lives now, we have got to let his stupid work make them!

oooo i am so angry! i just wanna kill them all! i cannot wait till he leaves that place tehn little vunerable gordan will have to do all the work by himself! oh dear what a shame for the little poor old man! NOT!

Rant over!

He could just refuse and say that unfortunately he's already made plans.

I have just told him that but he won't because he says that, they don't listen to him anymore anyway and he thinks they want to drive him out as they are making his working life hell!
I am still so angry!
Do you think he could make a complaint about this?

I think it is worth a shot at complaining. They should have at least had a conversation with him asking him if he could work. If he has made plans then that is their problem not his especially if he shouldn't have been working anyway!!

you should try telling him that, he wont say anything to them anymore, because they wont listen and just make him do more unfair things! Ill give it a shot trying to persuade him to complain about them!

Surely that's more reason for him to be firm.

Just say "sorry, I can't work that weekend" and then not turn up that weekend.

Better, put it in an email and copy it to a union rep, more evidence for the tribunal then if they try to sack him over it.

The list of things they have doen or said is endless!
he is doing paintimg and decorating apprenticeship, which was agreed by the former manager, now a stand in manager has come in she said to him, why are you doing the course if we don't need a decorator, the next day she got a decorator in it don't make sense to me!
