Hi All

Something and nothing really...A guy just knocked on my door telling me he is a photographer and will be in the area tomorrow to take photo's 'mainly of kids'.....

Hmmm I politely said no thanks and promptly rang the police, they are going to find him and have a word. He went back to his car without going to any other houses after being at mine!!!!! ????

Myabe genuine I dont know but if he is he shouldnt be using that kind of sentance in his sales pitch !!!!!! If hes genuine all well and good and I am sorry but these days ya cant be too careful

Good on you, I'd have phoned the Coppers as well... Sure he could've been straight up, but like you said, you can't take that even very slight chance that he might not be these days.

never wrong

There is a company called XYZ in Sheffield who do this. The way they work is this:

Target mainly council areas, knock on doors and book photo sessions. When they take the pictures they then go back with the pictures the people usually cant afford them as they are rather pricey. Then they whip out the credit agreement they have pre- approved with someone like shopacheck or the other one - cant remember the name. Each and every address is pre credit checked before the 'canvassers' target the area.
Not saying this is what's happening but it could be.
