I recently brought this (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/rooty2/DSCN0964.jpg) to store all my knitting stuff in, its great i no longer have stuff all over in drawers on tables in bags etc. it was about £10/15 i think from wilkos back home. Yeah it aint the prettiest thing, but i dont care, it goes at the side of my sofa so generally its never seen anyway. I even have some organisation with drawers :D

Top drawer (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/rooty2/DSCN0972.jpg) - whatever i'm working on
Second drawer (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/rooty2/DSCN0971.jpg) - needles
Third drawer (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/rooty2/DSCN0970.jpg) - got other work in progress and my container with needles, scissors, tape measure and pins
bottom drawer (http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g51/rooty2/DSCN0967.jpg) - yarn

How does everyone else store their stuff?

I 'had' a spare room...

It's now the woolly room

I've got bookcases on one wall full of balls/skeins of wool, needles etc, then a big pine table where I dry out dyed fleece/yarns use my ball winder/swift and anything else that needs doing.

And theres some laundry baskets full of yarn, oh and some of those plastic foldable crates.

Downstairs i've got knitting bags with projects in each one, my wheel and a little whicker basket with whatever fleece i'm spinning currently.

In the airing cupboard i've got hooks on the inside of the door where I hang my wet fleece/tops to dry quicker.

And everything else is all over the place

But cleaners hell

It's what happens when your a charity shop/car boot horder, I have to stop myself buying any more bundles of needles - but they're so cheap :help:

I used to have a study :hihi: .

When things are relatively tidy, the knitterly stuff gets stored in here (http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f40/ppn_2204/Storage.jpg). The top two levels are for yarn and the third is for needles and other bits and bobs.

The bottom section is for threads, fabric etc for college (I've got another set of the same storage drawers for the rest of it).

If I could get into the back room for empty boxes and related junk, I'd like to convert that into another knitterly/arty/crafty room. Who needs a guest room anyway, when there's plenty of floor space? :hihi: .

Beansforyou, it sounds like you no longer have a house, but a fibre studio! Next step is to open a shop there and start running classes ;) .

I converted my little spare box room into a guest room/knitting room. I have a bookcase (http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l235/gempud/DSCF0011-1.jpg) full of my books, knitting books and magazines and a few cones of yarn and a tub full of beads and stuff. I have a cubby (http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l235/gempud/DSCF0010.jpg) hole with a couple of cubed storage shelf things from Argos. The cubes are quite deep and full of yarn.I think they're about 3 or 4 balls deep, and a storage folder thing for even more magazines. I also have an under bed storage thing full of yarn. In fact, so much more yarn has been added since I took these piccies a month ago that I could do with another room for it!

Well I've got my ongoing projects at the side of the sofa in a hand-woven bag my friend gave me, then there are the yet to be started projects in the cupboard in the study, I have some wool (quite a lot of wool actually!) I just had to buy but don't know what to do with yet in the spare room and I've got some fleeces in boxes in the loft. I think your storage drawers look good but I like to keep my knitting things spread round the house so my husband doesn't know how much I have got! ;)

Hi Kaitef, and welcome to the kniting group  .

I like the idea of the knitting stash positioned in strategic places around the house to make it a little less obvious just how much you've accumulated  .
