Me a couple of mates are coming down this weekend to check out this place called Sheffield and basically drink lots of booze.
Can you recommend some good pubs and clubs, also looking for pubs that dont close early (11pm, whats that all about!!).
As for clubs, whats the changes getting in with jeans etc or do we need to be proper cubbing clobber (trouser/shirt)?

Drinking mainly :)
Prefer the late opening pubs, but will go to a club if need be.
As for music anything apart from Techno pish, so long as its got a good beat!
For late openings you're best of staying on the west street and division street area intown...
Can suggest Forum & Halcyon (both 1am), Takapuna (2am), DQ or Matrix (4am ish).
Theres also Tequila which i believe is open til 1ish.
Then there is Crystal...i would call up and check about dresscode there though...may be on the smarter side.
Most of these places these days will have charge a nominal entrance fee (apart from Forum and halcyon) which is usually 2-4 quid.

If your more into honest boozers - think Washington (by Dev Green) is open until 1am, Vine (in Sharrow) is similar and Dulo (off London rd) is about the same.

Almost all districts have local pubs which open very late. In woodseats the Abbey and the Weatherspoons stay open until after midnight on weekends.
I don't think you will have any trouble finding boozers where you can whet the old whistle until into the wee smalls..
you'll have no problem.

i think this person wants the city centre not off shots out of the centre
just wear smart jeans and smart trainers or shoes..

I agree, but I was just making the point that as all parts of the city have late drinking, then the city centre will be no problem.

If you do want a club, jump in a taxi down to the leadmill. An excellent club, good mix of music. No dress code, just don't turn up too drunk.
Have a fun night out in Sheffield. Its a top place.
